The First Day of School

Doesn’t every parent love when the school bell is ringing again! I am sure it can’t be just me. : ) Well, today was the big day for my little girl. She has been in pre-k the last couple of years but only going for a couple days a week. This year she is entering the big world of Pre-K4 and attending five half days of class = Fun!!! She absolutely loves her school and was lucky enough to have two previous classmates who are good buddies of hers in this years classroom. She couldn’t be more excited. This mommy is not looking forward to setting the alarm clock but so looking forward to having my mornings free while my princess is learning her A,B,C’s!

She also started Dance Class this very same day but I’ll have post pics when I take my big camera to class. She was super excited mostly about that and didn’t want to leave when it was time to go. I love my baby girl. Here are a few images before we headed to school. She had to pick me a flower of course. What a cute mess.

I rarely have time to photograph my little girl it seems these days so it is nice to squeeze in a mini session or two during a not so crazy week. By the way I am not talking about this last week…… it was insane. I so need two weeks to catch up. haha! Just kidding it’s not that bad. Is it really the fourth of July…. time is ticking by! Only about 6 more weeks until the kids are back to school and 5 more months until Christmas morning. Oh, yes… the holidays will be here again before you know it and there is no better time then now to start thinking about your families Holiday session. I will be taking appointments from the first week of September to the last week in November and that means that there are only 12 Saturdays available. I do take morning and afternoon appointments so that means I have exactly 24 openings. To get everyone extra excited and extra ready I am offering one sweet deal if you save your date this month. Hope everyone is having a wonderful day with their loved ones! I didn’t think I would be cooking but I just couldn’t help myself because it just didn’t feel like the 4th without a ball frank hot dog so I cooked my first potato salad and macaroni salad to go along with it! Next year I got to work on getting my grill on. The one we have has been well loved and seen it’s last days. : )

God Bless America! Home Sweet Home! Thank you to all those the Armed Service Men and Women for their continuing hard days work protecting our homeland. Also, to the retired personal like my father who on this very day is far far away in the dirt dodging mortars attacks and such. Just another day at work as he would say. Love you Dad!

So couldn’t post without a little red,white and blue! I haven’t yet had a chance to photograph my Bella’s cute hand made 4th of July outfit from this year yet but here is last years cute patriotic tutu from Miss Priss Tutu during last years beach vacation. So wish I were there this week again but just can’t make it happen.

Happy Father’s Day Special

Hope you are celebrating this special day with the very important men in your lives. It is an awesome day to relax at the beach, at the lake, on your boat, have a bbq or even stay cool and play daddy’s favorite video game. Then there are some daddies that have to work, like my daddy, and my baby girls daddy but do your best to make them feel special because life is to short not to thank them for all they do for their families.

Spending the day with family at the beach and I haven’t done that yet this year. I can’t wait!! Only a couple more weeks and we will be at the beach for a week. So this is a nice way to start even though it is blazing hot outside. This time of year always makes me wish we lived an hour closer to the coast so it was only a 15 minute drive….. oh someday. Anywho enjoy your holiday weekend and look for my father’s day special tomorrow. Here is an image of my little princess from earlier this year because I am way behind on editing her images. I hope to say I am caught up soon before I have to take more. : )

NYC

So I’ve been to NYC, like once, for 48 hours and we saw just about everything and never made it to Central Park. My sister lived just over an hour and a half away from the city so I asked a dear friend if she would travel with my Bella and I for a mini day trip to the city. We traveled by train arriving at the in famous Madison Square Garden. We hustled through the crowded street only making a pit stop at Toys R Us so my little girl could ride the indoor Ferris wheel. Most our day was spent in Central Park because I longed to go and I knew Bella would love the playground if we ever made it. The park was huge!!! Much bigger then I could have anticipated with a zoo, carnival, beach, live concert square, all the trees and birds, hot stands and tons of people. What an experience. I loved it and the day went by much to quickly and I didn’t take nearly enough photos but I hope to visit again when I can relax a little longer. Here are few images of the fun.

Living Simple

While visiting my sister, during the birth of 4th child and first baby boy, my Bella and I hung out at her cozy home sounded by lush green grass, chickens, and a ton of colorful beautiful flowers. I couldn’t help but think just how simple life truly is. My sister sure knows how to make a home gorgeous and share the reality of life’s simple pleasure. Oh, and of course I couldn’t help but capture some of the beauty without hardly trying. Meaning I could have taken a ton more pictures. lol!

All these flowers were right in my sister own yard. Every day something else bloomed… it was gorgeous.
